I used to play it alot, then GC got sucky.
Now gamecube is more baby games. I play more halo 2 and tournys, win some cold hard cash. I think there are SSBM tournys, I dont know how there setup because game cube doesnt have any network. You could win some good cash if your really good.

Yep There are Tournys. They hold them at a certain place in a city, and people come and play. Pros usually play and win some HARD ASS CASH! :)
