Damn Laptop.
 

I can't get on my own laptop because its doing some scanning thing. It has been since I switched it on this morning, its almost been 12hours. So I'm using my dads laptop at the moment. It's been on like 98% for the passed few hours and I'm getting pissed of at it. Argh.:violent1:

What exactly are you doing on it that takes that long?

Yesterday I didn't turn it off properly- I just tured it of by the power button. So when I turned it on it does that automatic scanning thing.. And has been doing so all day.

That takes like half a second for me.

Yeh, same with me, but yeh. 99% now.. Hopefully it shouldn't be too long.

...Ya your laptop is slow...maybe its defragging mine does that but it takes like 2 minutes

My computer is a piece of shit. It has a 40 Gigabyte compacity. & I have 27 Gigs of Music on it :D Which is just enough to fill-up my 30 Gig iPod. Also..It is like 5 or 6 Years old And been used in a family of 5 People that use it regularily. So that means its being used almost 24/7. People are downloading, deleting, and doing eveyrthing imaginable on it. I take care of it..I delete and clean out folders and files almost every night! I defrag when the analyzer says I Should. & do system clean-up. With about 4% Freespace on it..It runs faster than most of my friends brand-new computers :laughing5: Just goes to show if you take care of something..It lasts

Your little laptop has 10 more gigs than my big block computer Hahaha.

Since i only got 4 % free space on my hardrive. Ive been thinking about like an external harddrive..those work well or not? any experience with one anybody?

depends what brand...why dont u tell everyone that uses it to fuck off...save all the files you cant get back onto a floppy...then restore the computer making sure to keep good care of it. The external hard drives...what kind of computer you got and tell me the brand of harddrive you want and ill see.
