External Hard Drive ?'s
 

I have like a 40gb hard drive on my computer right now but luckily since i take care of it and my computer my computer is still faster than all my friends brand new computes :D But i have 30 gigs of music on it. And its really taking up space on my computer. Is the best solution just to buy an external harddrive and move all my music to that? And clearup any extra space. If so, i'm going to buy one :D

That's what I did. It I think it's a good idea I guess if you have ALOT of music. Like me I have like 6000+ songs and I just decided to keep them seperate and got a External Hard drive cheap.

Yes I have 6,000 also Lol and I dont want to delete ANY of it. I think im going to purchase a External harddrive. Anybody know where to get a good deal on them?

I recommend buying it for sure or just make sure there is no songs you dont listen to...like i have songs i dont listen to lol but i jsut dont care cuz i have an Alien Ware computer and it works fine

ya, i recomend you get one too, i hade lost of music, programs and simpsons/familyguy/southpark episodes tat just ate up space, i got an external and my computer instanty worked better, plus i can take my external were ever i go, i just un plug it, and i got all my stuff. a little off topic but i recomend you get a duel screen graphics card, they rock!

Alright I checked some out at CIRCUIT CITY and RADIOSHACK

Radioshack has a "MAXTOR 200GIG" for $150 then a 70$ MAIL IN REBATE

Circuit city has a "WESTERN DIGITAL myBOOK 160GIG" for $130

Obviously Radioshack is the better deal. Anybody hear of the brand "MAXTOR" Though?

I got the western digital one. Last night i put my 30 gigs of music onto it. Then when i gotup this morning when i plug it into my computer it says UNRECONIZED USB DEVICE. What should i do?

Maxtor is pretty good. I would recommend them..
