hey I looked through the forums and i did not find this questions asked. I was wondering how u know if the filter u make is client or server side. Also how can u pick if its client or server side.

You would have to test the filter with someone over the net and see if they see the same results that you do.

And just in case you don't know,

Serverside = The effect of the filter can be seen by everyone in Coke

Clientside = The effect of the filter can only be seen by you

Undetermined = The filter produces both serverside and clientside effects (Example: CD Player in $SYSTEM$ Rooms filter creates a clientside CD player, but it lets you play a serverside CD.)


And you can't pick if the filter is serverside or clientside. It all depends on how Coke handles the edited packets. Most of the time serverside filters come from editing packets that are sent to coke, and clientside filters come from editing packets you receive. And when tha'ts not the case, you can call the filter Undetermined.
