Ok, there are a lot of ways to prevent fakers. There are many methods, some to use against beginner fakers, some to use against more expert fakers. I hope this helps prevent you being faked.:

1. Look at what they are offerring. Does the trade make sense? Someone who is trading real rares just doesn't throw their rares away. So VCM for like 3 reds? Bull.

2. Tell them to accept first, then cancel the trade. Some beginners will pick up the item once you put yours in the tradebox. Do this 3-4 times. To mix it up, say you are going to do it 9 times, and do it on the 5th.

3. Tell them to show it to you in their room. And then if they put it down tell them to rotate it.

4. ALWAYS trade in your room. Do step #2 while your trading in your room. Right when you actually accept and get the item, put it down right away. Some expert fakers will have it picked up right away once you agree, but most beginners dont. So just put it on the ground right away, if you beat them before they pick up you will get the real item.

5. Never trade in public rooms. This a way that scammers will use to pick up their furni, and make it less detectable.

6. Never trade for any supers like Pin, AD, Oft, Bean etc. without a middleman. Its almost a 100% scam.

7. If you go to their room, they show you the item is real, and then you tell them to come back to your room to trade, and they agree. Then they message you saying "I can't find your room" or something along those lines, they are most likely in their mains room getting the fake version of the real item they showed you. Don't trade someone after they do this, tell them to go back to their room and prove its real again.
