FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It's an account that connects to a website and allows you to upload or download things to or from a website using a FTP Client tool. I prefer using the plugin for firefox is FireFTP Or you can use CuteFTP

Kcps, why are you a spamming newb? Maybe because he likes to own websites? You can own a site, and not know what FTP is. He is probably using cPanel. To answer the question, FTP is like the database of a website. For example, you would need an account. Ill use thyelite as an example, you would type in ftp://www.thyelite.com and it would ask you for an account username and password. If you had one, you could go in the database of thyelite and download all the files uploaded on the database.
