Default Flash not working on IE - 07-31-2006, 03:21 PM

For some reason flash isn't working on IE. I go to the flash site and I try to install shockwave, but it wouldn't install. Mycoke says that the site would run much better with Flash 6.0. I click the link, and it doesn't install. The installation page loads and then stops and no flash movie comes up.

I can usually fix these problems myself, but Im stumped.

I had this problem too. Eventually, I would have to reformat my hard drive and reinstall windows. I've spent hours searching the internet for a solution. Everyone is stumped. So I'll save you the time. Reformat.

I had an error similar to that... but it was with Quicktime. Quicktime tried to run all flash applications and animations and it didnt work. I just installed Firefox and now it works fine... not IE, but Firefox works. And it's way faster, and better.

Um.. I know about Firefox, and I use it. I don't want another browser. I need IE to play flash animations. The reason is because I can't use the cheat programs you guys make to exploit the game... My vb6 programs wouldn't matter because the WebBrowser control just uses IE to enable you to view websites. So I need IE to play these animations. I'll find a solution. Formating is a newbish way of solving these kinds of problems, though its a last resort. I'm sure I'll find a solution even if it takes me months. Thanks for the help.
